The United Church of Christ Fort Lauderdale "Garden Of Memories" is a different kind of garden.  The Prophet Isaiah referred to God's Garden as a Place where "joy and gladness will be Found in her, along with thanksgiving and the voice of song."  The Garden of Memories is filled with divine experiences including Joy, comfort, strength, memories and connection.  Whoever you are and wherever you are on life's journey you are welcome here a place where God is still speaking and you can be assured "listening."  All are invited and welcome in this garden!

Garden Memories of the Past

The Garden's "Wall of Memories" is a place where you can memorialize your loved one with a memorial plaque.  Memorialization is love, celebrates the life and is the final testimony to the dignity of our loved ones who have passed to the next life.  It is the recognition of the immortality of the human spirit.  The garden is also a place where cremated remains can be placed.

The Present:

Creating Memories in the Garden

This garden is a sacred place where memories are created.  A place where  sacraments occur such as weddings and baptisms. It is a garden where anniversary re-commitments, and joy filled celebrations and memories begin. The garden is a place where you and others are invited for prayer and reflection.  It is a holy space where whatever your present need is you are encouraged to come and be "still" and listen for God's touch, wisdom and direction. The UCC Garden of memories is a place where memories are created.

Garden Memories of the Future

Those we love should be more than thought or prayer away... for as long as there's a memory they will always live in our hearts to stay.  This garden is a place to collect your thoughts and reflect on your blessings as well as those loved ones who have transitioned and we still cherish dearly.  With reflection comes healing.  This garden will become a community garden where the butterflies which hover over the plantings will remind us of the transformation that God's love offers.
